Purpose of the Role The Finance Manager Business Finance is responsible for owning the financial performance, controls, and reporting of business units of the two companies and monitored Joint Ventures. The role ensures accuracy of books, discipline in approvals, predictable cash flows, timely MIS, and zero surprises to senior management. This is a hands-on ownership role, not a coordination-only position.

1. Key Responsibilities

A. Business Unit & JV Financial Ownership

- Full ownership of monthly P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow for LSCPL and CPCPL.
- Review and validate expenses submitted by Joint Ventures for approval, ensuring compliance with agreed JV terms, budgets, and controls.
- Ensure correctness of revenue recognition, billing, deposits, refunds, and inter-company transactions.
- Track costs against budgets and explain all material variances.

B. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts for both companies.
- Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts (including 13-week cash flow).
- Identify funding gaps and cost overruns well in advance.
- Work closely with operations to align occupancy, revenue, and cost assumptions.

C. Revenue, Receivables & Deposit Control

- Own end-to-end receivables monitoring and ageing, especially for CPCPL.
- Ensure no long-pending advances, deposits, or unreconciled balances.
- Circulate periodic receivables dashboards.

D. Expense, Petty Cash & Payment Review

- Review petty cash statements for both companies on a periodic basis.
- Review all payment requests received from operations and admin teams.
- Seek clarifications, supporting documents,



and corrections wherever required before submitting payments for final review to the VP – Finance.
- Ensure adherence to approval matrix, budgets, and internal controls.

E. Books Review & Month-End Closure

- Conduct a detailed monthly review of books of accounts for both companies.
- Identify accounting errors, control lapses, and misclassifications.
- Ensure corrections are passed immediately and reflected in the same month.
- Drive disciplined and timely month-end closure.

F. MIS, Audit & Operations Coordination

- Prepare and circulate monthly MIS within defined timelines.
- Coordinate with operations teams to obtain accurate and timely data for MIS, audits, reviews, and management analysis.
- Act as the finance SPOC for operational data validation.
- Support audit closures and Ind AS data requirements with clean, reconciled schedules.

1. Non-Responsibilities (Clarification)

- Statutory filings such as GST, TDS, and ROC compliances.
- Final Ind AS policy decisions and interpretations. The role does not have to cover the afore-mentioned responsibilities, but will be accountable for providing accurate inputs, reviews, and early identification of issues.

1. Key Result Areas (KRAs)

- Timely and accurate month-end closures.
- Clean books with minimal post-review or audit corrections.
- Effective receivables, cash flow, and expense control.
- High-quality MIS and proactive risk identification.

1. Competency Requirements

- Strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on review capability.
- Working knowledge of Accounting Standards and audit requirements.

- Robust Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate firmly with operations and cross-functional teams.
