Job Purpose

Adani Defence & Aerospace is seeking an experienced Business Development professional with a strong Armed Forces (Ordnance) background to support its growing Land Systems business, specifically in the tank ammunition segment.

The role will be responsible for driving business growth, engaging with key defence stakeholders, identifying emerging opportunities, supporting acquisition programs, and leveraging defence domain expertise to align operational requirements with commercial solutions. The incumbent will play a critical role in expanding the organization's tank ammunition portfolio across domestic and international markets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

- Drive business development initiatives for tank ammunition programs in domestic and export markets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging operational and technical knowledge of ammunition systems.
- Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Achieve revenue and growth targets for the tank ammunition portfolio.

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

- Build and maintain robust relationships with the Indian Army, Ordnance Corps, Ministry of Defence (MoD), procurement agencies, and other defence stakeholders.
- Represent the organization during customer meetings, defence exhibitions, seminars, and industry forums.
- Participate in technical discussions, field trials, and product demonstrations with customers.

Bid Management & Program Acquisition

- Support end-to-end bid management activities, including opportunity assessment, RFP analysis, bid strategy, proposal preparation, and submission.
- Provide technical and commercial inputs for defence procurement programs.
- Track upcoming procurement opportunities and position the organization for successful participation.





Domain Expertise & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Act as the subject matter expert for tank ammunition systems and related combat solutions.
- Provide market insights and operational requirements to engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
- Support product customization and positioning based on customer requirements and defence operational needs.
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal execution teams.

Strategic Partnerships

- Support the development of strategic partnerships and collaborations with OEMs, defence organizations, and industry partners.
- Assist in evaluating potential business alliances to strengthen market presence and capability expansion.

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure adherence to defence procurement policies, regulations, and organizational compliance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive defence-related information.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

- Graduate degree in Engineering, Defence Studies, Management, or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in Defence Procurement, Business Management, or Strategic Studies will be an advantage.

Experience

- Significant experience in the Indian Armed Forces, preferably from the Ordnance Corps/Armoured Corps/Ammunition-related functions.
- Proven experience in defence business development, procurement, acquisition programs, or strategic stakeholder management.
- Strong understanding of ammunition systems, defence procurement processes, and military operational requirements.

Retired or serving Armed Forces personnel with Ordnance background.

- Experience handling ammunition systems, military logistics, procurement, acquisitions, or defence modernization programs.
- Established network within Army, Ordnance, MoD, and defence procurement ecosystem.
