Position: BLE Controller Software and Firmware Engineer

Skills

- Design and develop BLE Link Layer and MAC controller software.
- Implement advertising, scanning, initiating, connection establishment and connection-event processing.
- Develop packet scheduling, channel selection, frequency hopping, acknowledgements, retransmission and timing-control functions.
- Interface BLE Link Layer software with radio PHY, hardware registers, timers, DMA and interrupts.
- Develop controller firmware, startup software, hardware-abstraction layers and peripheral drivers.
- Implement low-power states, sleep/wake-up handling, clock management and power optimization.
- Develop and integrate H CI transport over UART, SPI, USB or shared memory, as applicable.
- Support Direct Test Mode, manufacturing test modes, diagnostics and RF validation.
- Debug protocol timing, interoperability, throughput, latency, buffer-management and power-consumption issues.
- Develop unit tests and participate in integration, conformance and interoperability testing.
- Work closely with RF, ASIC, FPGA, validation, application and upper-stack teams.
- Support design reviews, code reviews, defect resolution and technical documentation.

Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in embedded firmware, wireless protocol software or BLE controller development.




- Solid programming skills in Embedded C; working knowledge of C++ is desirable.
- Hands-on experience in BLE Link Layer, MAC, controller firmware or closely related protocol-stack development.
- Understanding of BLE advertising, scanning, initiating, connections, connection parameters, data channels and control procedures.
- Knowledge of BLE packet formats, access addresses, CRC, whitening, channel mapping and adaptive frequency hopping.
- Understanding of BLE PHY interaction and time-critical radio-event scheduling.
- Experience with RTOS or bare-metal embedded software development.
- Familiarity with ARM, RISC-V, DSP or similar embedded processor platforms.
- Experience with JTAG debuggers, protocol analyzers, logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Working knowledge of the Bluetooth Core Specification 5.x or later.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of HCI, L2CAP, SMP, ATT, GATT, DTM and controller-host architectures.
- Experience in pre-silicon FPGA/emulation or post-silicon validation environments.
- Exposure to BLE qualification, RF conformance, interoperability testing and test automation.
- Knowledge of AES-CCM, pairing, bonding, key handling, OTA updates and secure bootloaders.
