The Charleston Library Society offers part-time internships throughout the year for college students interested in a career in the non-profit sector. Students may apply to assist specific departments, options being: Marketing & Communications, Bindery & Conservation, and Library Services. Interns will develop skills through targeted projects, which may include promotion and publicity efforts for programs, social media planning, special collections care, event support, and library management.

Our internship opportunities are unpaid; however, students may be eligible to earn college credit and other Library Society advantages. Internship opportunities are seasonally offered, except for Bindery Internships, which are accepted on a rolling basis.
