Role Description The Barista role at Envirotech Services is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and adherence to food safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include operating coffee machines and related equipment, handling food preparation for light snacks or accompaniments,



maintaining cleanliness of the service area, and restocking supplies.

The role involves interacting with guests, taking orders accurately, processing payments, and providing attentive customer service. The Barista collaborates with team members to support smooth operations, follow company procedures, and contribute to a welcoming environment for all customers.

Qualifications

Solid customer service and interpersonal skills to engage courteously with guests and work effectively with team members.

Barista skills, including operating coffee equipment, preparing espresso-based beverages, and following standardized recipes.

Clear communication skills for taking orders, explaining menu items, and coordinating with colleagues and supervisors.

Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in a food and beverage environment.

Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by operations.

Minimum high school education or equivalent; formal training in hospitality or food service is an advantage.
