We are looking for a Junior Database Engineer with experience in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL database support and monitoring. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day database operations, monitoring activities, troubleshooting, and supporting production environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor MySQL and PostgreSQL database environments.
- Handle database incidents and service requests.
- Perform health checks and ensure database availability.
- Support production, UAT, and DR environments.
- Assist in database installation, configuration, and patching activities.
- Support backup and recovery operations.
- Monitor replication and database jobs.
- Perform basic database administration tasks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot database performance issues.
- Coordinate with senior DB engineers for critical issues.
- Maintain proper documentation and status updates.
- Assist in scripting and automation tasks.
- Generate monitoring and operational reports.
- Support continuous improvement activities.

- Candidates should be flexible to work in a 24/7 support environment and provide support during critical production incidents and deployments.

Technical Skills :
- Basic to intermediate experience in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL administration.

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environment.
