Job Summary:

- We are looking for an experienced Backup Engineer with strong expertise in Veritas NetBackup and Veeam Backup & Replication administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and backup infrastructure management.

- The candidate should have hands-on experience in enterprise backup environments, data protection, disaster recovery, and storage technologies.

- Key Responsibilities: Manage and administer Veritas NetBackup and Veeam Backup & Replication environments.

- Configure, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot backup and restore jobs.

- Perform backup validation, recovery testing, and disaster recovery drills.

- Handle backup policies, retention management, deduplication, and replication.

- Support physical, virtual, and cloud backup infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot backup failures, media issues, tape libraries, storage, and performance bottlenecks.

- Work on VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, and Linux backup environments.

- Monitor backup alerts and ensure SLA compliance.

- Coordinate with server, storage, virtualization,



and application teams.

- Prepare daily/weekly backup health and compliance reports.

- Maintain backup documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.

- Support upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

- Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience in Veritas NetBackup.

- Good experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.

- Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Linux.

- Understanding of SAN, NAS, Tape Library, and Storage concepts.

- Experience with backup troubleshooting and DR operations.

- Familiarity with cloud backup solutions and replication technologies.

- Valuable communication and customer handling skills.

- Ability to work in 24x7 support environments if required.

- Preferred Certifications: Veritas Certified Specialist Veeam Technical Certification (VMCE) VMware / Storage certifications preferred
