Xuman.AI is hiring a Backend Engineer. Remote. Immediate joiners only.

Xuman.AI is an operating system that turns content into instant booking, designed for human-led services.

On the surface, it collapses fragmented workflows into one system. Underneath, we are building something far deeper: The Human Experience Engine, our Persona Compatibility layer. This engine matches the right person with the right fit at the right time, based on who they are, what they want, and how they connect.

The founder's vision is to layer cognitive science into human persona compatibility, leading to hyper-personalized, real-time human connections.

Xuman.AI is the productization of the founder's previous bootstrapped venture: ideation, market research, pilots, MVP, and a technical foundation built to scale. The product is built and live on both app stores. We are past the building phase and into distribution: getting it in front of real users and turning it into a repeatable business.

What you'll own:

- The service estate: bookings, scheduling, auth, notifications, payments, and the seams between them
- The data model and the APIs every surface is built on, mobile and web alike
- The AI seams on the server: the calls out to models, and what happens when one is slow, wrong or down
- Correctness where it actually counts: a booking never lost, a payment never charged twice





Must have:

- NestJS or Node + TypeScript services in production, on PostgreSQL (Prisma or similar)
- Real API design: REST, idempotency, transactions, and webhooks that survive duplicates
- Async and queue-based work: Service Bus, RabbitMQ, SQS or similar
- Comfortable outside the backend when the week demands it: a screen, a script, a deploy
- 3 to 5 years of experience across startups and corporate; internships count
- You use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) daily to write, debug, and ship faster. Not optional; this is how we work.

Solid plus:

- You have wired a model or third-party AI service into a backend and handled it failing
- Payment systems: Stripe, ledgers, reconciliation, payout flows
- Redis, caching, and real-time (Socket.IO) backends
- Microservices or multi-service monorepo experience: our estate is 16 services on one schema
- Geo queries: PostGIS or similar, behind location-based provider search
- Azure (Container Apps, Service Bus) or any major cloud, Docker, CI/CD
- Monitoring and incident discipline: Sentry, health checks, alerts
