About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native backend systems and AI-powered platforms. You will be responsible for architecting highly available microservices, designing APIs, building data processing pipelines, and developing backend systems that support large-scale NLP and AI workloads.

This role requires solid expertise in backend development using Python and Node.js, deep experience with AWS cloud services, and hands-on knowledge of processing large datasets to build enterprise AI solutions. You will work closely with architects, data scientists, frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver secure, high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Development

Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python and Node.js

Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and asynchronous event-driven services.

Design modular, reusable, and maintainable software following industry best practices.

Lead backend architecture discussions.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. AI, NLP & Data Processing

Design and implement large-scale document and data processing pipelines.

Build backend systems supporting AI and NLP workloads.

Develop services for processing structured and unstructured datasets.

Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI services into enterprise applications.

Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy production-ready machine learning models.

Optimize AI inference pipelines for performance and cost.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

5–8 years of experience in backend software development.

Proven experience designing scalable distributed systems.

Strong experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.

Experience working with large datasets and high-throughput systems.

Hands-on experience deploying production applications to Kubernetes.

Strong understanding of software design patterns and system architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Node.js.

Experience building AI-driven enterprise platforms.

Experience developing NLP applications.

Experience integrating commercial or open-source LLMs into production systems.

Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, or other regulated environments.

Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization on AWS.
