Role Description The Autosar Engineer will work on the design, development, integration, and validation of AUTOSAR-based software components for automotive electronic control units. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring AUTOSAR stacks, developing application and middleware software, performing debugging, and ensuring compliance with automotive software standards and customer specifications.
The role involves collaborating closely with system architects, hardware engineers, and QA teams to deliver robust and maintainable software solutions. Documentation of design, test cases, and implementation details,
as well as participation in code reviews and continuous improvement activities, will be part of regular tasks. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture, configuration tools, and software component development.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming and familiarity with microcontroller-based systems.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols (such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, or Ethernet) and related tooling.
- Skills in debugging, integration testing, and use of tools like debuggers, emulators, and logic analyzers.
- Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level driver development.
- Knowledge of automotive development standards and processes (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262 exposure is an advantage).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience in automotive embedded software projects or product development is highly beneficial.
