Role Description The Auditor role at Rama Associates is a contract position based in office in Dehradun. The Auditor will perform daily reviews of financial records, operational processes, and compliance documentation to ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant regulations.
Responsibilities include examining transactions and supporting documents, identifying discrepancies or control gaps, preparing clear audit reports, and recommending corrective actions. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and client representatives, maintaining organized audit workpapers,
and supporting follow-up reviews to track implementation of audit recommendations. The Auditor is expected to maintain confidentiality, uphold professional standards, and manage timelines for multiple audit assignments.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls, and basic accounting practices.
- Ability to review financial statements, ledgers, and supporting documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and standard office software for data analysis and reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and discussing issues with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment in assessing risks and recommending improvements.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehradun, manage deadlines, and handle multiple assignments independently.
- Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CIA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in audit, accounting, or compliance within a corporate or consulting environment is preferred.
