Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Compliance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing HR and payroll-related compliances, including Contract Labour, Apprenticeship, Shops Establishment Act, and other relevant regulations.
The Assistant
Manager - Compliances will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations governing human resources and payroll practices.
Key Responsibilities HR Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and statutes, including Contract Labour, Apprenticeship, and Shops Establishment Act.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct periodic audits of HR practices and documentation to identify and address areas of non-compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to HR staff on compliance-related matters.
Payroll Compliance Management
- Oversee payroll processing activities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
- Review payroll data for accuracy and completeness, including deductions, taxes, and benefits.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll tax filings and reporting.
- Address any payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies from employees in a timely and professional manner.
Apprenticeship Compliance
- Manage apprenticeship programs in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate with training providers and government authorities to ensure compliance with apprenticeship requirements.
- Maintain records of apprenticeship agreements, training schedules, and progress reports.
Shops Establishment Act Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Shops Establishment Act, including registration of establishments, working hours, and employee welfare provisions.
- Monitor and Edit policies and procedures to reflect changes in the Shops Establishment Act requirements.
- Conduct periodic inspections of establishments to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR and payroll compliance management, preferably in the QSR or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, including Contract Labour, Apprenticeship, and Shops Establishment Act.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in compliance documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and payroll software.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
