Position Summary The Associate Professor / Associate Dean – Business, Management and Finance is a senior academic leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction, academic excellence, and operational leadership within the School of Business at the University of Liverpool India Campus.The successful candidate will contribute to the establishment and growth of the founding academic team by leading curriculum development, delivering outstanding teaching, promoting impactful research, mentoring academic colleagues, and strengthening engagement with industry and international partners.As an Associate Dean, the role will play a critical part in shaping the academic culture of the India Campus, ensuring alignment with the University of Liverpool's UK academic standards, regulatory requirements, accreditation expectations, and institutional strategic priorities.The appointee is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, leadership, student success, curriculum innovation, and academic governance while contributing to the University's reputation for global academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic academic leadership for the Business,
Management and Finance discipline and contribute to the long-term growth of the School.
- Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, and related disciplines.
- Lead the design, delivery, review, assessment, and continuous enhancement of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Drive curriculum innovation and ensure academic programmes remain aligned with University of Liverpool UK academic standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership in academic planning, faculty development, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
- Coordinate programme delivery across teaching teams to ensure consistency in curriculum implementation, assessment moderation, and student learning outcomes.
- Promote research-informed teaching using innovative pedagogical approaches and contemporary educational technologies.
- Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and research students where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain a strong international research profile through publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and scholarly engagement.
- Lead collaborative interdisciplinary research initiatives with colleagues across the University of Liverpool's global campuses and external institutions.
- Contribute towards securing competitive research funding from government, industry, and international agencies.
- Support international accreditations including AACSB and EQUIS.
- Participate in institutional academic governance, programme reviews, quality assurance, and accreditation processes.
- Build strong partnerships with industry, government organisations, professional bodies, and international academic institutions.
- Promote executive education, consultancy, industry projects, internships, and knowledge exchange activities.
- Collaborate with University of Liverpool UK faculty to ensure curriculum parity, academic moderation, and continuous quality enhancement.
- Represent the University at academic conferences, professional forums, industry events, and international engagements.
- Promote equity, diversity, inclusion, academic integrity, student wellbeing, and an inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure compliance with University policies, academic regulations, ethical research practices, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Contribute to the strategic vision and future development of the University of Liverpool India Campus.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
- Ph.D. in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline from a recognised university.
- Demonstrated record of academic excellence in teaching, research, leadership, and scholarly activities.
- Experience in a senior academic role with leadership responsibilities within a university environment.
- Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or willingness to obtain an appropriate teaching qualification.
- Strong record of curriculum development, programme leadership, and continuous quality enhancement.
- Extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading academic teams, mentoring colleagues, and supporting faculty development.
- Strong research profile with publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals.
- Evidence of successful research collaborations, knowledge exchange, and impact activities.
- Experience supervising postgraduate and research students.
- Demonstrated experience in accreditation, academic quality assurance, and programme review activities.
- Knowledge of international higher education practices, outcome-based education, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Strong understanding of global business education and emerging trends in management, finance, and digital transformation.
- Proven ability to build productive relationships with industry, government, accreditation agencies, and international academic partners.
