The Assistant Professor Nuclear Medicine will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, practical training, research, student mentoring, and academic administration in accordance with the curriculum prescribed by the regulatory authorities and the university. The faculty member is expected to contribute to curriculum development, research, industry collaboration, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Teaching & Learning

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Nuclear Medicine.

Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and practical demonstrations.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and course files.

Develop innovative teaching methodologies using ICT-enabled learning.

Guide students during laboratory sessions and clinical/practical training. Subjects to be Taught The faculty member should be competent to teach the following subjects:

Solid State Physics and Electronics in Nuclear Medicine

Fundamentals of Chemistry (Core Applications in Nuclear Medicine)

Mathematics in Nuclear Medicine

Practicum in Nuclear Medicine

Other Nuclear Medicine-related subjects as assigned by the department. Practical & Laboratory Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory experiments and practical sessions.

Maintain Nuclear Medicine laboratories and equipment.

Ensure adherence to laboratory safety, radiation safety, and quality assurance protocols.

Assist students in acquiring practical and clinical competencies. Research & Publications

Conduct high-quality research in Nuclear Medicine and related disciplines.

Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Apply for funded research projects and consultancy assignments.

Present research work in national and international conferences.





File patents, where applicable.

Student

Mentoring

Mentor students regarding academics, research, internships, and career development.

Guide student projects, dissertations, and seminars.

Monitor student attendance and academic progress.

Academic

Administration

Participate in curriculum design and revision.

Prepare question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and conduct examinations.

Maintain academic records as per university guidelines.

Participate in NAAC, NABH, NABL, AERB, or other accreditation-related activities, as applicable.

Support departmental committees and institutional events.

Qualified

Development

Attend Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Keep updated with emerging technologies and advances in Nuclear Medicine.

Build collaborations with hospitals, diagnostic centres, research laboratories, and industry.

Educational

Qualification

Essential

Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Nuclear Medicine / Medical Physics / Radiological Physics / Nuclear Medicine Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Preferred

Ph.D. in Nuclear Medicine, Medical Physics, Radiological Physics, Biomedical Sciences, or a relevant discipline. Experience

Essential

Minimum 01 to 02 years of teaching, clinical, or research experience in Nuclear Medicine or allied healthcare disciplines.

Preferred

Experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Experience in handling Nuclear Medicine laboratories and practical sessions.

Research publications in indexed journals.
