Role Description The Assistant Engineering Manager is a full-time, in office role based at Hard Rock Hotel Goa in Calangute. This role supports the Engineering Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring all hotel systems, equipment, and facilities are functioning efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities include coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, supervising engineering and maintenance team members, and monitoring vendor and contractor activities.

The Assistant Engineering

Manager helps manage engineering projects, maintains compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and works closely with other departments to minimize operational disruptions. The role also involves preparing reports, tracking budgets and inventory for engineering supplies, and contributing to continuous improvement of property infrastructure and guest experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Project Management skills to oversee maintenance activities and support capital projects.




- Candidates should possess Team Leadership skills to guide, coach, and coordinate engineering and maintenance staff effectively.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems) and hotel facility operations.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related technical field, preferably with experience in hospitality or large commercial properties.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, maintenance schedules, and safety guidelines, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and readiness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Experience with maintenance management software and familiarity with local safety and regulatory requirements in Goa or India is an advantage.
