We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our accounts and billing operations, including preparation of bills, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and day-to-day bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally (sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments)
- Prepare and process client bills/invoices accurately and on time
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for projects in coordination with the design/execution team
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers
- Maintain and update records in Excel (MIS reports, expense trackers, project cost sheets)
- Coordinate with vendors and clients for billing/payment follow-ups
- Support the senior accountant/management with monthly closing and reports
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:
Graduate (B.Com preferred; other graduates with relevant experience may apply)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Tally (Tally ERP/Tally Prime)
- Excel: Strong working knowledge (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data formatting)
- Experience in preparing bills and BOQs (preferred, especially candidates from interior design/construction/contracting background)
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Prior experience in interior design, construction, or contracting firms
- Familiarity with billing software beyond Tally
Compensation As per industry standards, based on experience.
