About Business line/Function: Asset Management Position Keeping

Position Purpose:

You, as a member of the Security Master, Benchmark & Pricing Operations, will be responsible for the daily creation of financial instruments, Funds & Mandates, index & benchmarks, daily monitoring controls and validation & publication of prices for all instruments. Besides the creation, you will provide effective support to internal and external clients. Understand the valuation (prices / Mark to Market + analytics) process of all kinds of financial instruments.

Make sure that the pricing strategy is fully applied.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Pricing:

This team is responsible for updating the price of Listed & OTC securities to enable the fund accountants/Reporting to ascertain the market value of the securities as a part of fund valuation (NAV) and reporting activity.

Pricing activity is carried out across APAC & EMEA regions for both listed and OTC.

Security Master:

This team is responsible for setting up and maintaining data quality for various instrument types in the respective accounting platforms.

Security master activity is carried out across APAC & EMEA regions for mostly listed instruments.

Benchmark:

This team is responsible for creating/maintaining indices & benchmark for funds and mandate in accounting platform.

- Knowledge of Capital Markets and knowledge of Security Pricing / asset setup Management or outsourced Operations
- An understanding of a variety of Instrument types including Equities, Bonds, Unit Trusts
- In depth understanding of the system functionalities. The applications we use and data retrieval from vendors.
- Trouble shooting skills set to have smooth BAU.

Contributing Responsibilities




- Process accurate security pricing / Asset Creation/Benchmark on a Global basis within given deadlines.
- Interact with both internal and external parties to resolve pricing / Asset creation/ Benchmark issues and queries.
- Query resolution in accordance with time frames set out in Client SLAs
- Performing a range of daily, weekly, monthly reportings/ controls to ensure completeness of processing.
- Work with the Vendors and other parties to capture security prices / Asset Creation /Change in benchmark.
- Resolve pricing / Asset Creation/Benchmark issues on a timely basis.
- Expressing ideas effectively in individual and group situations. Adjusting communication style to match the needs of the audience.
- Expressing ideas clearly in all written documents. Using professional, appropriate language always, and adhering to the use Email protocols.

Specific Qualifications:

- Graduation / Post Graduation from any recognized University with Finance as Major.
- Candidates should be willing and versatile to work in any shift.

Technical Skills:

- Accounting: Knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting standards
- Financial Markets: Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and products (e.g., stocks, bonds, derivatives, currencies).
