Application Platform Engineer – AWS & Automation

About the Role:

Creyente Infotech is hiring an Application Platform Engineer to support and improve business-critical financial applications across AWS and on-premise environments.

This is not an AWS-only or CI/CD-only role. You will take ownership of applications and their complete technology stack, including cloud infrastructure, operating systems, deployments, monitoring, automation and production support.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who is interested in understanding how applications work, troubleshooting issues end to end and continuously improving platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and support assigned applications, including their architecture, dependencies, configurations and operational processes
- Manage and troubleshoot application infrastructure across AWS, Linux and Windows environments
- Support application deployments, releases, upgrades, patching and configuration changes
- Automate deployments, monitoring, health checks, log analysis and operational activities using Terraform, Python or Shell
- Build and improve monitoring, logging and alerting using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, SigNoz or similar tools
- Investigate production incidents across applications, databases, integrations, operating systems and AWS infrastructure
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
- Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, security and AWS cost efficiency




- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and runbooks

Required Skills and Experience:

- 4–7 years of experience in application support, platform engineering, cloud engineering, production engineering or a related role
- Hands-on experience supporting production or business-critical applications
- Strong AWS experience across compute, networking, storage, IAM and monitoring
- Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure-as-Code tool
- Scripting or automation experience using Python, Shell or PowerShell
- Strong Linux or Windows administration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with application deployments, configuration and release processes
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging and alerting tools
- Good understanding of networking, DNS, security groups, IAM and load balancing
- Solid interest in application engineering and end-to-end platform ownership

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SQL databases, middleware, APIs or messaging systems
- Exposure to Docker, ECS or Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud migration, backup, disaster recovery or high-availability environments
- Exposure to financial or trading platforms such as Front Arena, Murex or Calypso
