About the Role

Upsurge Investment & Finance Limited is looking for an Analyst to support its lending, investment and financial analysis activities. The role will involve evaluating companies and borrowers, preparing financial models, conducting industry research and assisting the team across transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.

This role is suitable for someone who has strong analytical skills, understands financial statements and is interested in building a career in credit, investments and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse financial statements, business models, cash flows and key operating metrics.
- Assist in evaluating lending and investment opportunities.
- Prepare financial models, credit notes, investment memos and management presentations.
- Conduct industry, company and competitor research.
- Support due diligence, including reviewing financial, legal and operational information.
- Coordinate with borrowers, investee companies, intermediaries and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor the performance of existing loans and investments.
- Track repayments, financial covenants,



portfolio developments and key risks.
- Maintain internal databases, MIS reports and transaction documentation.
- Assist senior team members in transaction structuring, execution and ongoing portfolio management.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- CA, CFA, MBA Finance or relevant qualification pursued or completed will be an advantage.
- 0–2 years of experience in an NBFC, bank, credit rating agency, investment bank, private credit, equity research or financial advisory firm.
- Good understanding of accounting, financial statements and corporate finance.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, research and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and prepare structured written analysis.
- High attention to detail, ownership and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working in a small, execution-focused team.
