OVERVIEW
Individual taking up the role would help drive modernization, development and maintenance of Digital Manufacturing solutions such as TrakSYS MES, as a Senior D&T; Analyst, ensuring the solutions are sustainable, and following General Mills’ Engineering standards. The role requires the ability to manage multiple initiatives and work well with various internal and external partners to bring capabilities to life across a variety of General Mills business teams. This role is estimated to be 70% analyst / support work and 30% development / technical work.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work collaboratively as Senior Analyst (Functional and Technical) for Manufacturing MES solutions, with strong expertise in TrakSYS MES, manufacturing process workflows, enterprise application landscapes, and cross-system integrations.
Assume end-to-end ownership for the build, transformation, support, and continuous enhancement of Manufacturing MES solutions on behalf of the D&T; organization, ensuring operational excellence, business value delivery, and a superior end-user experience.
Partner closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to shape, define, and evolve the strategic technology roadmap for Manufacturing digital capabilities.
Contribute to the evaluation, implementation,
and deployment of emerging technologies and process innovations across the manufacturing ecosystem, including MES, connected worker solutions, quality management, packaging, equipment and asset maintenance, and manufacturing analytics.
Drive stability, performance, and continuous improvement of TrakSYS MES applications, ensuring high system availability, robust operational support, and exceptional business user experience.
Act as the primary point of coordination for major incidents impacting Manufacturing applications, ensuring timely triage, effective resolution, clear stakeholder communication, and minimal business disruption.
Collaborate with software development and support teams to deliver effective incident management and service support in line with established service level expectations. Deliver MES platform enhancement requests, implementing newer features
Develop and enable communication, training plans and knowledge-sharing that build technical capability across teams and business counterparts, promote effective adoption of manufacturing technologies, tools, and processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. A master’s or other advanced degree is preferred
Core expertise requirement
6 to 10 years of progressive experience in the design, implementation, and support of IT and digital manufacturing solutions,
with strong experience in manufacturing environments
Proven hands-on experience delivering Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, preferably TrakSYS, across one or more manufacturing domains such as Manufacturing Execution, Connected Worker, Quality Management, Packaging, Equipment and Asset Maintenance, and Manufacturing Reporting and Analytics
Strong functional and technical capability in building, configuring, integrating, and supporting MES applications in complex manufacturing operations
Other expertise requirements
Strong experience with enterprise application technologies and integration patterns, including SQL, Oracle Database, REST APIs, SOAP services, IDocs, RFCs, and MQTT.
Experience with modern development technologies, preferably including C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Big Query, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
Experience in testing, debugging, and supporting API-based and operational integrations across manufacturing and enterprise platforms.
Operational experience requirement
Experience working with software engineering tools and delivery practices such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, testing, and controlled releases
Experience in IT Service Management, including incident management, problem management, service monitoring, SLA/KPI tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical diagnostic skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and supportable technology solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Agile techniques and methods
