We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Amazon Listing & Flat File Specialist to serve as the data backbone of our e-commerce cataloguing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining our entire Amazon catalog infrastructure.

You will manage complex variations, troubleshoot listing suppressions, and execute bulk inventory uploads using Amazon Inventory Files (Flat Files). The ideal candidate treats Amazon Seller Central like an advanced database and has a proven track record of solving technical catalog errors.

Key Responsibilities

Catalog Creation & Bulk Data Architecture

- Create, manage, and scale the company’s product catalog using Amazon Flat Files for bulk data uploads.
- Build and execute complex parent-child variation structures (styles, sizes, multi-packs) seamlessly.
- Map and assign correct Browse Nodes , product categories, and item types to ensure maximum organic search visibility.
- Maintain a secure, centralized master product database (PIM/Google Sheets) containing all UPCs, SKUs, and core metadata.

Technical Troubleshooting & Listing Health

- Routinely download and audit the Category Listing Report (CLR) to ensure catalog data integrity.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve critical Amazon backend errors (e.g., Error 8541, 5461, 8026).
- Monitor and fix suppressed, stranded, or split listings to minimize revenue loss.
- Liaise directly with Amazon Seller Support (Catalog/Brand Registry teams) , escalating tickets aggressively until technical issues are resolved.

Compliance & Brand Governance





- Verify and pair all current listings with authentic GS1 barcodes , ensuring perfect compliance with Amazon’s global standards.
- Monitor listings for unauthorized content changes, hijackers, or contributions from third-party sellers.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure all frontend listings accurately mirror the backend data inputs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale catalogs in Amazon Seller Central .
- Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, CONCATENATE, Text-to-Columns, Pivot Tables, and macros).
- Flat File Expertise: Absolute comfort working with raw tab-delimited text files and processing feeds.
- Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of Amazon’s A9/A10 algorithm, category-specific style guides, and Terms of Service (ToS).
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills with a stubborn refusal to accept generic canned responses from Seller Support.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with automated PIM (Product Information Management) software (e.g., Akeneo, Plytix).
- Experience utilizing Helium 10 or Jungle Scout for data verification and tracking.
- Experience working with multi-marketplace channels (Amazon US, EU, UK, Walmart, Shopify).

- Catalog Accuracy Rate: 99.9% error-free data entry across all product listings.
- Time-to-Live (TTL): Average time taken to launch an inventory batch successfully after receiving product assets.
- Listing Downtime: Speed of resolving listing suppressions or stranded inventory to restore live statuses.
