Role/Designation : AM - Vehicle Integration

Location: Pune (Talegaon)

Roles &

Responsibilities

Fully Responsible for Vehicle Integration, Maintaining the Vehicle Layout, Concept & Final Design of Various Machine aggregates for MEWP machines

Responsible for End to End delivery right from Concept to Drawing Release, Selection of components, Product Improvements, resolve field issues, adding features, and Material BOM Cost reduction through VA/VE initiatives.

Prepare Design Release timeplans, Part Release plans considering project timelines. Update & provide information to management through PFEP (plan for every part tracker)

Concept work and Design of various Welded Structures, Sheet Metal Parts, Sub-assembly, Structuring the assemblies into layout, ensuring proper coordination & communication within team & with Stakeholders working in cross functional environment

Design review and Concept presentations & approvals.

Must know the working and performance criteria’s, specifications of machine. Reviewing the Vehicle Layout in view of all aggregates & ensure the digital mock up is checked at design stage for performance, assembly, service aspects. Assure designs meet customer requirements, statutory requirements, and corporate objectives

Ensuring the Coordination between design aggregate teams of Vehicle integration, Structures, Hydraulics, Electricals and Engine Installation. Proposing the observations and ensuring the required modifications for project progress. Coordinate with global teams for design release

Prepare technical proposals, reports, and presentations & support teams on technical issues

Responsible for closure of machines concerns & resolve them through design release process

Design Detailing, BOM compilation and Engineering Drawing release through Engineering Change Management process.

Coordinate with Test and Development, Purchasing and Quality Assurance and Production departments for development at various stages of Projects as required till the implementation





Understand JCB & International Standard & follow the same within Team.

Maintaining Quality and standards during daily work.

Achieve deliverables as per given Timeline & Quality targets with Right First Time approach

Follow-up with Suppliers & stakeholders to achieve project goals

Understand Quotations, Purchase requisitions & Orders and follow ups as needed

Progress the Development of machine in Protoshop / Assembly and collaborate for progress for builds & completion for Sign Off Activities

Responsible for Engineering Sign off activities for relevant area under responsibility

Required Skillset

Solid design skills for Vehicle Integration, Structural Parts, Sheet Metal Parts and Assemblies

Strong Drawing & Detailing Skills, Able to express views & present various concepts for a given requirement

Working in cross functional team environment. Strong written & verbal communication, mindset for meeting the end goal with constant rigour

Understanding of Manufacturing Processes, Sheet Metal, Heat-Treatment, Machining, GD&T; and their application to drawings

Understanding of Construction Equipment machines and its subsystems for product integration

Understanding of Material selection, Strength of materials

Good Calculation & Analytical skills to evaluate the best optimized design for requirement

Strong understanding of Bill of Materials, Design Release Process and Variants management

Strong knowledge of Engineering Sign Off activities and Progressed the Project as per Technical reviews / stages in project

Understanding of International and Indian Standards used in Design

Cost focussed, Value Analysis & Value Engineering

Positive Attitude, Team Player and Flexible in accepting & delivering work as per project requirement

Quick Learner and Flexible to work in shifts or timing as per project requirement

Able to manage & work under set project targets for Quality & Timely delivery
