About Creator Engine

Creator Engine is a post-production studio built for scale. Our VFX team sits between the edit and final delivery, solving shots that need precision, speed, or both. This role sits right at that intersection, where traditional compositing meets generative AI.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role for someone who can look at a shot, choose the right approach, and deliver a polished result under deadline. Some work calls for careful tracking, roto, paint, compositing, and cleanup; other shots are best solved through a combination of generative AI and traditional VFX technique. Day to day, that means AI-generated background replacements, wire and object paint-outs, muzzle flashes, cleanup, and the creation of AI establishing shots.

Robust traditional VFX instincts are required alongside practical experience using generative AI in a real production workflow, along with comfort moving between both worlds: creating AI assets, integrating them naturally into footage, and knowing when AI will save time versus create more work.

This is a contractual role, engaged on a project basis, with the possibility of extension to a full-time engagement.

What You'll Own

- End-to-end compositing on assigned shots: keying, tracking, rotoscoping, paint and cleanup, through to final comp
- The call on whether a shot gets solved traditionally, with AI, or with a mix of both
- Prompt development for generative image and video tools, refined until the output is usable and consistent
- Integration of AI-generated assets into the professional pipeline, matched for grain, light, and lens to sit invisibly in the shot
- Keeping pace with new AI tools and testing them against real shots, not just demos
- Bullet marks, wire clean up, muzzle flashes. Paint out.

- You only want to prompt and see traditional compositing as beneath you
- You accept the first AI output because it looks fine at a glance
- You can't tell a client or CP why a shot needed the approach you picked
- You need every tool and workflow handed to you before you'll try it

What You Bring

- Working proficiency in at least one of: Adobe After Effects, Nuke, Blackmagic Fusion
- Solid grounding in 2D compositing, rotoscoping, paint and cleanup, tracking, keying, and general VFX workflow
- Real, hands-on experience with generative AI tools for image and video creation, including prompt writing for consistent, high-quality output
- An eye for visual quality and the patience to catch what's wrong before someone else does
- Comfort moving between precise, manual VFX work and fast, iterative AI workflows in the same day

Software proficiency gets you the interview. What gets you hired is whether you can tell, on sight, when a shot is actually done or just looks done.
