- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books of accounts.
- Prepare and finalise financial statements — Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

- Oversee vendor settlements with hotels, airlines, DMCs, transporters, and event suppliers.

Statutory Compliance, Taxation & Filings

- Ensure timely filing and payment of Professional Tax and other applicable statutory dues.
- Coordinate PF/ESI and other payroll-related compliance with the HR team.
- Manage TCS compliance on tour packages and forex/remittance-related transactions as applicable.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards affecting the business.

Audits

- Independently manage and coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits from start to finish.
- Prepare and provide all schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation required by auditors.
- Liaise with external auditors and consultants, resolve queries, and ensure timely closure of audits.
- Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal financial controls.

Process Automation & Systems

- Drive automation and digitisation of finance and accounting workflows to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
- Optimise the use of Zoho Books and the latest version of Tally for end-to-end accounting, invoicing, and reporting.
- Integrate accounting systems with other business tools and statutory portals for seamless data flow.
- Establish and document SOPs, processes, and internal controls.

MIS,

Reporting & Budgeting

- Prepare monthly MIS reports, P&L; statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management.
- Develop and monitor budgets, and analyse variances against actuals.

- Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships.

Team & Coordination

- Lead and mentor the Bengaluru-based accounts team.
- Coordinate with operations, sales, and HR teams for payroll inputs, vendor onboarding, and cost control.

Qualifications & Experience

- MBA (Finance) / M.Com / B.Com or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance.
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, having independently handled the full finance function — closing, GST, TDS, and audits.
- Experience in the travel, MICE, hospitality, or events industry is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a team is preferred.

Key Skills

- Solid hands-on expertise in Zoho Books and the latest version of Tally.
