Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in South Dum-Dum. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare and review financial statements, reconcile accounts, and ensure records are accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with tax computations and filings, and supporting internal and external audit processes. The role involves maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, preparing periodic financial reports for management, and responding to client and stakeholder queries on financial matters. The Accountant will collaborate with colleagues to streamline accounting processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial controls.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting and finance skills,



including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and office productivity tools, such as spreadsheets and enterprise resource planning (ERP) or accounting systems.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulatory requirements, and basic auditing principles relevant to business and professional practice.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-specialists and work well in a team environment.
- Candidates should possess positive organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline are preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting firm or corporate finance department is beneficial, along with a commitment to ethical conduct and continuous professional development.
