: Accountant – Jewellery Store Job Title: Accountant Department: Accounts & Finance Location: SUVARNAKALA PVT.LTD (C.G.ROAD) Reports To: Finance Manager / Owner Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to manage the financial operations of our jewellery business. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate accounting records, handle inventory-related accounting, manage taxation and statutory compliance, and prepare financial reports while ensuring accuracy in all transactions.

Key Responsibilities Maintain daily accounting records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Record and reconcile cash, bank, and credit card transactions. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Prepare GST returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations. Process payroll and maintain employee salary records. Reconcile jewellery inventory with accounting records and stock reports.

Maintain records of gold, diamond, silver, and other precious metal purchases. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Monitor customer advances, repair charges, and order payments. Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.



Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master degree in Commerce (B.Com, M.COM), Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the jewellery, retail, or luxury goods industry. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards.

Experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime, Busy, Marg ERP, or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.

Required Skills Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Inventory accounting experience. Positive communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Time management and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in jewellery inventory management. Knowledge of hallmarking and jewellery billing processes.
