Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Durgapur for an Accountant and Audit staff member supporting a CA Firm associated with AVSS & Associats. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing ledgers, and assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping activities. The accountant will support audit processes by gathering documentation, verifying transactions, and helping to prepare audit reports in accordance with applicable standards.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with compliance and statutory filings, managing invoices and payments, and coordinating with team members to ensure timely completion of financial tasks. The role may also include supporting budgeting, basic financial analysis, and communicating clearly with internal stakeholders and external auditors as needed.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong accounting skills, including ledger maintenance, bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements.
- Candidates should possess audit-related skills, such as transaction verification, documentation review, and support for statutory and internal audits.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in common accounting software and spreadsheet tools, along with basic financial analysis capabilities.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant accounting principles, taxation basics, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple financial tasks accurately.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively on-site, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate high ethical standards.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; pursuing or having completed CA/ICWA or similar professional qualifications will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in an audit firm or similar accounting setting, and an interest in working with mission-driven organizations, will be beneficial.
