Position
Account Executive
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Account Executive to manage day-to-day accounting activities, statutory compliance, banking transactions, vendor and customer accounts, and financial documentation.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate company books of accounts, handling GST, TDS, TCS and related statutory compliance, performing reconciliations, supporting finalization of accounts and audits, and maintaining the Director’s personal accounting and financial transaction records with complete confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities1.
Daily
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record and maintain daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
Verify invoices, vouchers, bills and supporting documents before accounting.
Maintain proper accounting documentation and records for future reference.
Ensure accounting entries are accurate and properly classified.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Prepare and reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
- GST Compliance
Maintain proper GST-related accounting records and documentation.
Perform GSTR-2B reconciliation with purchase records.
Identify and follow up with vendors regarding purchase and GST mismatches.
Prepare and file GSTR-3B returns accurately within statutory timelines.
Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of input tax credit.
Support other GST-related compliance and documentation as required.
- TDS, TCS & Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely compliance with TDS and TCS requirements.
Calculate and record TDS/TCS accurately.
Prepare and coordinate timely filing of TDS/TCS returns.
Maintain proper records of statutory deductions and payments.
Ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax and other statutory accounting requirements.
Maintain supporting documents and records for statutory compliance.
- Bank & Financial Reconciliation
Perform regular bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
Verify bank transactions against accounting records.
Maintain proper records of bank payments and receipts.
Monitor outstanding bank-related transactions and ensure timely reconciliation.
Assist in maintaining accurate cash and bank balances.
- Vendor & Payment Management
Maintain and update the vendor payment list.
Track vendor payment due dates and payment status.
Verify vendor invoices and supporting documents before payment processing.
Reconcile vendor ledgers and resolve outstanding differences.
Coordinate with concerned departments regarding pending invoices and payments.
- Director’s Personal Accounting
Maintain and update the Director’s personal accounting records separately and accurately.
Record and maintain the Director’s personal bank statement transactions.
Maintain and update the Director’s personal credit card transactions.
Record, categorize and reconcile personal expenses, payments, receipts and other financial transactions of the Director.
Track personal payments, reimbursements, transfers and outstanding transactions as required.
Prepare periodic summaries of the Director’s personal expenses and financial transactions when required.
Maintain proper supporting documents and records for personal accounting transactions.
Ensure complete confidentiality, privacy and accuracy while handling the Director’s personal financial information.
Clearly maintain separation between company accounting transactions and the Director’s personal transactions.

Accounts
Finalization & Audit Support
Assist in the finalization of books of accounts.
Prepare necessary schedules, statements and supporting documents for finalization.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
Provide accounting records and supporting documents required during audits.
Assist in resolving accounting discrepancies and audit queries.
Ensure proper maintenance of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Documentation & Record Management
Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers, bank documents, GST documents, TDS documents and other accounting records.
Ensure accounting documents are organized and easily accessible.
Maintain confidentiality of company and Director-related financial information.
Ensure timely updating of accounting records and supporting documents.
Qualifications
B.Com / M.Com from a recognized institution.
Additional certification in Accounting, Taxation or Finance will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
Good working knowledge of GST, TDS and TCS.
Experience
3 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering company will be preferred.
Practical experience in GST, TDS, TCS, bank reconciliation and finalization of accounts is preferred.
Experience handling confidential financial information will be an advantage.
Required Skills
Robust knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
Good knowledge of GST, TDS and TCS compliance.
Knowledge of GSTR-2B reconciliation and GSTR-3B filing.
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
