Role Description The Academic Counselor role is a full-time, in office position based at Blitz Academy in Kochi.

The Academic

Counselor will guide prospective and current learners in selecting suitable courses, understanding program requirements, and planning their academic pathways. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining training and certification options, supporting learners with admission processes, and maintaining accurate records of counseling interactions.



The role involves coordinating with faculty and administrative teams, organizing orientation and information sessions, and providing ongoing academic advising to enhance learner outcomes and satisfaction.

The Academic

Counselor will also contribute to career guidance activities, helping learners align their training with industry opportunities.

Qualifications

- Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to understand individual goals and recommend appropriate programs.
- Career counseling and education-related expertise to guide learners on industry trends, job roles, and professional development pathways.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear interpersonal communication, active listening, and the ability to present information to groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field; counseling certification or training is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, student services, or training institutes is preferred, especially in technical or vocational education.
- Ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple inquiries, and maintain organized records and follow-up processes.
- Strong ethical standards, learner-centered mindset, and willingness to collaborate with academic and administrative teams.
