Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Advisor role based in the Mohali district.

The Academic

Advisor will guide prospective and current learners on suitable programs, helping them align educational choices with their career goals and interests. Daily responsibilities include conducting student counseling sessions, explaining course structures and outcomes, and supporting learners through enrollment and program progression. The role involves collaborating with training and operations teams, maintaining accurate records of advising interactions, and following up with learners to ensure satisfaction and retention.





The Academic

Advisor will also participate in outreach activities, provide feedback on learner needs, and support continuous improvement of advising and educational services.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in making informed educational and career decisions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including transparent verbal and written communication, active listening, and relationship-building abilities.
- Candidates should possess Academic Advising skills, with the ability to interpret program options, prerequisites, and progression pathways.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Education systems and trends, ideally with exposure to higher education or EdTech environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications in counseling or education are an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic advising, student support, admissions, or counseling roles, preferably in an EdTech or higher education organization.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple learner cases and meet targets and timelines.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, learning management systems, and basic office productivity software to manage student information and communication.
