Job Description: Senior Finance Associate Job Title:Senior Finance Associate Location: Delhi Employment Type: Full-TimeExperience Required: 5-8 Years Work Arrangement: On-site (Delhi),Hybrid- 3 days work from office About the Role: We are seeking ahighly motivated and detail-oriented finance skilled to joinour team as a Senior Finance Associate . The ideal candidate willhave strong experience in financial operations, accounting,compliance, and reporting. This is a key role responsible forensuring accurate financial management, timely reporting, andadherence to regulatory requirements, while supporting the FinanceManager and senior leadership in strategic decision-making. KeyResponsibilities: 1. Financial Operations Oversee and manageday-to-day financial operations including vendor payments, employeereimbursements, receipts, and journal entries. Ensure all financialtransactions including sales invoices, purchase invoices, advances,and expense entries are accurately recorded in the accountingsoftware -Zoho Books) and are supported by proper documentation.Conduct periodic reconciliations for bank accounts, vendor ledgers,customer accounts, and inter-company balances to ensure accuracyand consistency. Maintain an organized and accessible filing system(both digital and physical) for vouchers, invoices, contracts, andsupporting documents. Monitor accounts payable to ensure vendorsare paid on time and accounts receivable to ensure timelyrealization of dues. Coordinate with the operations and programteams for invoice validation, fund utilization tracking, andproject-wise expense booking 2. Budgeting and Forecasting Assist inpreparation of the annual organizational budget andproject-specific budgets in collaboration with program anddepartment heads. Support in preparation of financial forecasts andvariance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis. Analyze budgetvs. actual performance and share variance insights andrecommendations with management for corrective actions. Maintainand update financial dashboards and reports to track fundutilization and grant-wise performance. Ensure compliance withdonor requirements and budgetary controls in project execution. 3.Payroll and Reimbursements Coordinate with HR to ensure accuratepayroll processing each month, covering all employees, consultants,and interns as applicable. Validate inputs such as attendance,leave deductions, variable pay, new hires, exits, and statutorydeductions before payroll release.



Ensure compliance with statutoryrequirements related to payroll including PF, ESI, TDS. Handletimely processing of employee reimbursement and travel expenseclaims, ensuring adherence to internal policies and budget limits.Support in preparation of monthly payroll registers, salary slips,and reconciliation of payroll-related ledgers in accounts. Liaisewith the HR and compliance teams to address payroll-related queriesor audit clarifications. Prepare and verify employee taxcomputations at the time of payroll, mid-year declarations, andfinancial year-end tax finalization. Support in Form 16 generationand distribution for all employees at the end of each financialyear. 4. Compliance and Statutory Requirements Ensure timely andaccurate filing of all statutory returns including TDS, GST, PF,ESI, and MCA compliances. Prepare working data for TDS returns(Form 26Q, 24Q), reconcile with books, and coordinate withconsultants for filing. Generate and issue Form 16A (TDScertificates for vendors/consultants) on a quarterly basis. Assistin tax computation for employees and consultants to ensure properdeduction at source and year-end compliance. Prepare and maintaindata for GST filings including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, ensuring correctclassification of sales, purchases, and input tax credits. PerformGST reconciliations between GSTR-2B, purchase registers, and booksof accounts to identify mismatches and coordinate corrections.Track and ensure timely payment of statutory dues, maintainingproper records of challans and filings for audit reference. Prepareworking papers and documentation for internal, statutory, and donoraudits, ensuring prompt response to auditor queries. 5. FinancialReporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financialstatements as needed Develop Management Information System (MIS)reports, highlighting key metrics such as budget utilization, fundbalance, and liquidity status. Support in preparingproject-specific financial statements for donor and funderreporting, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.



Ensure allfinancial reports and statements are prepared in accordance withapplicable accounting standards and organizational policies. Ensureall reports comply with accounting standards, internal policies,and donor reporting templates 6. Process Improvement Review andstrengthen existing accounting and financial workflows to improveaccuracy, transparency, and efficiency. Support automation offinance functions such as payment approval workflows, expensetracking, or invoice management systems. Implement internalcontrols and checks to mitigate financial risks and ensure auditreadiness. Contribute to integration and implementation of newfinance systems or tools in collaboration with the finance manager.7. Team Collaboration Work closely with cross-functional teams suchas HR, Admin, Program, and Operations to provide timely financialinsights and ensure alignment on financial planning. Support theFinance Manager in financial planning, donor budget formulation,and financial due diligence for new partnerships. Provide guidanceto non- finance staff or interns on accounting entries, compliancetracking, and documentation standards. Participate in teammeetings, reviews, and training sessions to stay aligned withorganizational goals and priorities. Foster a collaborative andsolution-oriented environment within the finance team. RequiredQualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Finance,Accounting, or Commerce. Master’s/MBA in Finance or CA Inter/Finalis preferred. 5-8 years of experience in finance and accountingroles, preferably in mid-sized or fast-growing organizations.Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation (TDS,GST,EPFO, MCA/ROC Etc), and compliance requirements. Experiencewith payroll, reimbursements, vendor management, and statutoryfilings. Proficient in MS Excel, Zoho and Tally and financial ERPsystems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communicationskills. Ability to work independently and manage multiplepriorities in a dynamic environment. High level of integrity andattention to detail in all financial operations. Demonstratedcommitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvementin financial processes.
