Role Overview We are looking for an experienced andtechnically robust Service Engineer to manage crane serviceoperations, maintenance, and customer relationships. The rolecombines hands-on technical work with business developmentresponsibilities in the crane service domain. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair ofPort Cranes, EOT Cranes, hoists, panels, VFDs, limit switches,brakes, and safety systems Execute preventive and breakdownmaintenance at customer sites Prepare condition assessment reportsfor existing cranes and systems Identify electrical upgradation,refurbishment, and modernization requirements Support commissioningand testing of refurbished cranes Ensure compliance with safetystandards and statutory regulations Conduct site surveys andprovide technical inputs for quotations Identify and developopportunities for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and serviceagreements Promote crane refurbishment, modernization, andretrofitting solutions Convert service visits into repeat businessand long-term contracts Maintain strong relationships with plantheads, maintenance managers, and procurement teams Prepare detailedservice reports, visit reports,



and technical recommendationsMaintain records of customer equipment, service history, andcontracts Coordinate with internal teams including design,procurement, and service execution Support negotiations andcontract finalization when required Eligibility CriteriaGraduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 3–7 years of experiencein Port Cranes, EOT Crane servicing, maintenance, or refurbishmentStrong knowledge of crane electrical systems, including PLCs Proventroubleshooting and diagnostic skills Preferred Candidate ProfileExperience in crane service/maintenance contracts within industrialor port environments Exposure to crane modernization, upgradation,and retrofitting projects Familiarity with industries such asports, shipyards, steel plants, warehouses, aluminum smelters, andheavy engineering Basic understanding of commercials, costing, andcontracts Ability to identify and convert service opportunitiesinto business Strong communication and customer-handling skillsSelf-driven, result-oriented, and service-oriented mindsetWillingness to travel extensively to customer sites Male candidatespreferred
