Summary of the Role We are hiring aSoftware Development Engineer to contribute to the development andintegration of system-level software components across embeddeddevices running Android, Linux, and RTOS-based operating systems.This individual contributor role focuses on hands-on systemengineering and embedded software development, requiring effectivecollaboration with cross-functional teams. Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design, development, and integration ofsystem-level software for embedded consumer and CE devices. Developand enhance OS-level components, middleware, and services runningon Android, Linux, or RTOS platforms. Work on low-level softwareinteractions involving device drivers, OS services, hardwareinterfaces, and middleware layers, HAL Debug complex, multilayerworkflows spanning applications, system services, and underlying OScomponents. Perform performance analysis and optimization relatedto stability, latency, memory usage, and system responsiveness.Collaborate effectively with hardware, firmware, platform, andapplication teams to resolve system-level issues. Participate indesign discussions, code reviews,



and technical problem-solvingacross functional boundaries. Contribute to documentation andtechnical artifacts that support system integration and long-termmaintainability. Required Qualifications Must-Have 5+ years ofhands-on experience in system software or embedded softwaredevelopment. Experience working on embedded or CE devices runningAndroid, Linux, and/or RTOS. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or arelated technical field. Strong programming experience in C++ withpreferred knowledge of Rust. Solid understanding of OSfundamentals, including processes, memory management, threading,IPC, and device I/O. Proven ability to debug complex system-levelissues across software layers. Strong communication skills andability to work effectively in cross-functional engineeringenvironments. Nice-to-Have Experience developing system ormiddleware components close to hardware. Familiarity with Androidsystem internals, Linux system programming, or RTOS environments.Exposure to performance tuning, profiling tools, or system-leveldebugging on embedded platforms. Experience working with hardwarebring-up teams or silicon-specific software components. Backgroundin consumer electronics, IoT, or embedded product development.Interest in building reliable, maintainable, and well-architectedsystem software.
