We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team as a permanent, full-time employee, also acting as Product Owner for Task Ray, our Professional Service Project/Task management application within the Salesforce ecosystem.
This role owns the functional design and business process side of the broader Salesforce platform, translating global sales operations needs into configured, scalable solutions, while also owning the Task Ray product backlog and prioritization that guides the development team's delivery on that application.

The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise in Salesforce and CRM-driven sales processes, strong business analysis skills, Agile product ownership experience, and the ability to lead process improvement independently. This role partners closely with global IT and the development team to ensure solutions are grounded in sound process design, data models, and industry best practices, and that Task Ray delivery stays aligned with business priorities.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements into functional solution designs, applying Salesforce and industry best practices
- Provide expert guidance on Sales operations/CRM features, capabilities, and how business processes connect across systems
- Design solutions that align with business needs and translate them into functional requirements for the development team
- Analyse current business workflows and systems to identify areas for improvement and automation
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops and produce business process maps, user stories, and functional specifications for the development team to build against
- Partner with developers to validate that delivered solutions meet the functional intent and business requirement
- Troubleshoot complex issues from a functional/business-process perspective, working with the development team on root cause and resolution
- Stay current on managed application features, Salesforce platform releases, and industry trends relevant to sales operations
- Lead change management activities, including UAT planning, training, and adoption support, through to go-live
- Conduct periodic process and application health checks and provide recommendations for optimization




- Provide post-implementation functional support, triaging and resolving process-related issues
- Create detailed solution design documentation, including process flows, data models, and system/data touchpoints at the functional level

Product Owner Responsibilities (Task Ray)

- Own and prioritize the Task Ray product backlog, balancing business value, urgency, and dependencies
- Translate functional requirements for Task Ray (templates, resource planner, automations, project workflows) into well-formed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team
- Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the development team on Task Ray scope, priority, and trade-off decisions
- Participate in and help facilitate Agile ceremonies for the Task Ray workstream, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives
- Define sprint goals and maintain a release roadmap for Task Ray in partnership with global IT and delivery teams
- Review and accept completed Task Ray work against acceptance criteria, coordinating UAT with business stakeholders before release
- Communicate Task Ray roadmap, priorities, and delivery status to business stakeholders and leadership
- Lead quarterly QBR departmental reviews for Task Ray, reporting on adoption, performance, and outcomes
- Define and maintain KPIs for Task Ray usage and delivery performance
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with Task Ray user teams, including ODE, CAE, GSE, and CSG (Spirent teams TBD)
- Maintain backlog cleanliness, ensuring items are current, well-defined, and free of duplicates or stale requests
- Lead quarterly review of enhancement and idea requests, prioritizing and aligning them to user stories/sprint assignments or backlog priority (High/Medium/Low)

Required Skills

- Requirements elicitation, gathering, and business process mapping across current-state and future-state workflows
- Fit-gap analysis: assessing business requirements against standard Salesforce capabilities and recommending configuration or process alternatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured requirements
- Solution design and documentation, including process flows, data models, and functional specifications
- Proficiency building Salesforce reports and dashboards to support business decision-making
- Data management and data quality stewardship, including data models, deduplication, and validation from a functional standpoint
- Functional and user acceptance test design,



including writing test scripts and validating delivered work against acceptance criteria
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, able to explain solutions and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with cross-cloud Salesforce (SFDC) implementations spanning multiple business functions
- Experience supporting solution delivery from testing through go-live, ensuring functional requirements are met
- Experience acting as Product Owner or similar backlog-owning role within an Agile delivery team, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ability to make prioritization trade-offs and communicate them clearly to both business stakeholders and delivery teams
- Experience defining and tracking KPIs, and leading quarterly business reviews with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Skills

- Experience as a Task Ray Functional Consultant: gathering onboarding/post-sale process requirements, configuring Task Ray templates, resource planner, and automations, and mapping customer-facing project workflows through configuration
- Working knowledge of the Task Ray data model (Projects, Templates, Tasks, Resources) sufficient to advise on functional design and configuration options
- Experience with other Salesforce App Exchange products
- Knowledge of change management principles
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
- Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) and tools (Task Ray preferred, Smartsheet, Easy Project)
- Understanding of service and application lifecycle management
- Determines and develops approaches to complex business process/system assignments
- Leads business-process-related projects, applying in-depth experience to influence outcomes
- Solves complex problems independently, drawing on in-depth process and platform experience
- Recognized internally as an experienced practitioner in Salesforce functional/business process design

Qualifications:

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience
- Typically 6–7 years of relevant experience in Salesforce business analysis, functional consulting, or CRM process design
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead process initiatives with minimal oversight

- Salesforce Certified Administrator and/or Advanced Administrator
- Salesforce Certified Business Analyst
- Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant (or Service Cloud Consultant)
- Task Ray Academy certification (functional/consultant track) preferred
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile product ownership certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Task Ray features, data model, and functional configuration options
- Proven track record of successful Task Ray functional implementations across various industries
