ABOUT RAISEMONEY

Raise Money is a startup incubation and fundraising-readiness ecosystem that supports founders in building stronger businesses and preparing for meaningful investor conversations.

Raise Money works with founders across areas such as startup evaluation, mentorship, pitch and business refinement, investor readiness, market access, and relevant funding opportunities. It also facilitates founder-investor connections while recognising that final investment decisions, negotiations, and due diligence remain with the respective founders and investors.

Raise Money's approved positioning includes startup-investor connections, pitch support, mentorship, and fundraising-related guidance.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and commercially aware Fundraising Program Manager to work closely with the Raise Money Founder's Office.

This person will act as a critical bridge between startup founders, investors, mentors, and the internal Raise Money team.

The ideal candidate should understand the complete startup fundraising lifecycle—from assessing a founder's readiness and improving their fundraising positioning to identifying relevant investors, managing introductions, coordinating follow-ups, and supporting the process through investor discussions and due diligence preparation.

This is not simply an investor outreach role.

The person should be capable of understanding a startup business, identifying what is missing in its fundraising preparation, guiding founders through the process, and helping create relevant and productive conversations with investors.

The role requires a combination of:

Fundraising knowledge + Founder empathy + Investor communication + Business understanding + Relationship management + Strong execution

Key Responsibilities

1. Founder Fundraising Assessment

Work closely with startup founders to understand:

- Business model
- Product or solution
- Market opportunity
- Founder and team
- Current traction
- Revenue model
- Customer validation
- Funding history
- Current fundraising requirement
- Use of funds
- Future milestones

Identify whether a founder is genuinely ready to approach investors.

Provide structured feedback on areas that need improvement before investor outreach.

1. Fundraising Readiness

Help founders prepare for fundraising by reviewing and coordinating:

- Pitch decks
- Investor presentations
- Executive summaries
- Business plans
- Funding requirements
- Use-of-funds plans
- Financial information
- Traction metrics
- Market information
- Competitive positioning
- Founder narrative
- Data-room readiness

The person should help founders understand that fundraising readiness goes beyond having a good-looking pitch deck.

1. Founder Relationship Management

Build strong professional relationships with founders.

Responsibilities include:

- Understanding founder challenges
- Maintaining regular communication
- Conducting founder review calls
- Following up on pending information
- Helping founders understand next steps
- Managing founder expectations
- Coordinating with mentors and internal teams
- Providing structured feedback throughout the fundraising process

The person should be empathetic but commercially realistic.

Founders should feel supported while also receiving clear and honest feedback.

1. Investor Identification & Research

Research and identify investors who may be relevant for Raise Money founders.

Investor research may include:

- Angel investors
- Venture capital firms
- Family offices
- Strategic investors
- Syndicates
- Relevant early-stage investment organisations

Evaluate potential fit based on:

- Sector
- Startup stage
- Geography
- Investment thesis
- Typical cheque size
- Business model preference
- Previous investments

The objective should be relevant investor targeting, not mass outreach.

1. Investor Relations

Develop and maintain professional relationships with investors in the Raise Money ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

- Investor onboarding coordination
- Understanding investment preferences
- Maintaining investor profiles
- Regular investor communication
- Sharing relevant startup opportunities
- Inviting investors to Demo Days or pitch sessions
- Coordinating investor-founder meetings
- Collecting investor feedback
- Maintaining long-term investor relationships

Investor communication should always be factual, concise, and professional.

1. Founder–Investor Matching

Evaluate whether a founder and investor may be relevant for each other.

Matching considerations may include:

- Startup sector
- Startup stage
- Funding requirement
- Investor cheque size
- Investor thesis
- Geography
- Business model
- Founder readiness
- Opportunity relevance

The role should focus on quality of matching rather than quantity of introductions.

1. Investor Introductions

Once a relevant match is identified,

coordinate the introduction between founder and investor.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing the founder
- Preparing relevant investor information
- Sharing approved startup information
- Scheduling meetings
- Confirming meeting objectives
- Coordinating follow-ups
- Recording investor feedback
- Identifying next steps

An introduction should never be treated as an investment commitment.

Required Knowledge

The candidate should understand:

- Startup fundraising lifecycle
- Pre-seed and seed fundraising
- Angel investment
- Venture capital
- Startup business models
- Pitch decks
- Fundraising strategy
- Investor outreach
- Investor targeting
- Startup valuation concepts
- Cap tables
- Financial projections
- Term sheets
- Due diligence
- Investor data rooms
- Startup traction metrics
- Founder-investor communication

Personality We Are Looking For

The ideal person should be:

- Highly organised
- Founder-friendly
- Investor-friendly
- Commercially aware
- Analytical
- Relationship-driven
- Confident in conversations
- Good at listening
- Strong at follow-up
- Comfortable asking difficult questions
- Detail-oriented
- Proactive
- Honest
- Calm under pressure
- Strong at execution

Most importantly:

The person should know when a founder needs an investor—and when the founder needs more preparation before meeting one.

Why This Role Matters at Raise Money

Raise Money sits between two groups with very different expectations:

Founders need guidance, preparation, feedback, access, and fundraising support.

Investors need relevant opportunities, clear information, productive communication, and founders who understand their businesses.

The Fundraising & Investor Relations Manager connects these two sides.

A strong person in this position should be able to look at a startup and answer:

1. Is this founder ready to raise?
2. What needs to improve?
3. What type of capital may be relevant?
4. Which investors may be suitable?
5. How should the founder approach them?
6. What should happen after the meeting?
7. What is blocking the process from moving forward?

That is why this role should sit close to the Founder's Office, rather than operating merely as a sales or lead-generation function.

Key strengths we value:

Startup Fundraising | Investor Relations | Founder Relations | Pitch Evaluation | Investor Research | Due Diligence Coordination | CRM | Business Analysis | Relationship Management

If you understand both sides of the fundraising table—what founders need and what investors expect—we would like to hear from you.
