Responsibilities

Summary :

Regional Engineering Manager drives the engineering strategy for Grid Automation APAC region by effective interface between various cluster Engineering teams and global Engineering leaders. The role also responsible to define futuristic approach to the engineering execution in the region and by achieving cost optimization and most effective utilization of resources across the region.
- Ensure protected operations / process for the Engineering population (Project Engineering, FAT & Field Service Engineering).




- Be accountable for the Technical Competencies of the Region’s Engineering population – with additional specific focus on Complex Energy Transition projects execution.
- Drive: Competency Assessment, Competency Gap identification & Gap closure actions (Hiring / Training / Mentoring / On-job experiential / …).
- Be abreast of the Technical growth needs of the markets and accordingly forecast the Competency needs on the Long-Term Strategy (LTS) basis (minimum Y+3)
- Ensure L1/L2 support process in Regions for GA Products, Solutions & Services.
- Create / Manage process to share & implement Lessons Learnt / Return of Experience (ROE) within the Region and propose suitable ROEs to share globally in close coordination with Global Operations Team.
- Manage comprehensively the Region’s Engineering population Headcount including Contingent Workers, Sub-contractors to ensure Engineering efficiency.
- Actively look for options & drive Regional level Cost-out actions pertaining to Engineerin
