Overview

Experienced Airbus Design Engineer supporting in-service repairs, technical queries, AOG cases, and structural issues across A350, A380, Single Aisle, and Long Range aircraft. Skilled in damage assessment, repair design, AW/TD/Full Task/RDTS preparation, and providing compliant repair solutions and technical approvals for airline customers.

Responsibilities
- Provide Airbus In-Service Design Engineering support for daily repairs, event queries, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) cases across A350, A380, Single Aisle (SA), and Long Range (LR) aircraft programs.
- Perform structural assessments and develop repair solutions for Fuselage, Outer Wing, and High Lift structures, with exposure to ATA Chapters 52, 53, and 57.
- Analyze aircraft damage reports and conduct technical evaluations to determine repair feasibility and compliance with Airbus airworthiness requirements.
- Prepare and issue Technical Comments (AW) and Technical Dispositions (TD) in accordance with Airbus design and approval processes.




- Review and approve operator-proposed repairs through AW documentation and develop detailed repair definitions through TD deliverables.
- Develop practical, compliant, and cost-effective repair schemes that ensure structural integrity and continued airworthiness of the aircraft.
- Prepare and manage Full Task, RDTS, and related engineering deliverables to support complex repair activities.
- Respond to airline technical queries within defined service-level agreements and ensure delivery of engineering solutions within agreed turnaround times.
- Utilize Airbus reference documentation, including AMM, IPC, SRM, CDL, and Service Bulletins, to support repair design and technical decision-making.
- Prepare engineering documents such as RDAF, FCDs, and ASACs when standard repair data is unavailable or requires additional technical justification.
