Role & Responsibilities
Orchestrate is a critical component of the global equity execution workflow. It serves as a comprehensive control layer for managing client order routing & execution pathways, risk limits, trade restrictions, user access control & permissions, FIX configurations, various regulatory compliance data setup, and other business configuration management within the flagship order management system.
This is an individual contributor role. We are looking for an exceptional Java Technologist to join our Orchestrate development team in India. As India lead and senior technologist within this workstream, the selected individual will work with global dev team, mentor junior team members and hands-on deliver business requirements.
The role and responsibilities are as follows:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based infrastructure code for business configuration management, develop high quality software deliveries within the committed deadlines.
- Build and enhance business configuration management functionality
- Develop and maintain REST APIs for financial trading systems
- Work with MongoDB collections for data persistence and retrieval
- Implement comprehensive unit testing strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on regulatory compliance initiatives, requirements discovery and project prioritization
- Understand the existing business functions and participate in defining new solutions that meet business objectives.
- Contribute towards establishing software delivery best practices. Collaborate on architecture, design decisions, and code reviews
- Agile -participate in weekly scrums
- Willing to work hands-on and contribute across entire SDLC - including dev, testing and support. Collaborate with various development, QA and support teams across different regions
- L3 support - quick support resolution of production and user issues, application testing and maintenance releases. Interface with other support teams, global internal and external clients related to support, use and output of the products. As part of global team, act as key contact point for queries of both technical and functional nature.
Mandatory Skill Set
- Excellent technical skills in
- Robust Core Java
- Mongo DB/SQL Server/Similar DB, SQL
- Multi-threading, memory management
- Gitlab CI - Continuous Integration
- Strong experience in Java programming with focus on infrastructure code
- REST API - Proven experience building and maintaining RESTFul services
- Event-driven architecture - knowledge of event-driven systems and messaging patterns
- Very detail oriented with excellent analytical skills
- Strong communication & leadership skills
- Highly proactive and takes initiative to identify problem areas and evolve solutions.
Desired Skill Set
- Investment Banking domain - good understanding of capital markets
- Understanding of trading systems and regulatory requirements preferred
- Highly desirable - hands on experience with MongoDB collections and NoSQL databases
- Authorization frameworks - Experience with role-based authorization and security frameworks
- Approval processes - background in developing approval workflow systems
