Job Title: Senior Manager HR - Multi-Business Manufacturing and Engineering Group
Company Overview:
One of our clients, a rapidly growing multi-business manufacturing and engineering group operating across high-precision sectors including Medical Equipment, Solar Power, and Industrial Solutions, is seeking an experienced HR leader. Headquartered in Bengaluru, the company is preparing for its next phase of corporate expansion and aims to list on the SME IPO platform in the near future.
Job Overview:
The Senior Manager HR will take complete strategic and operational ownership of HR operations across corporate headquarters, central engineering divisions, and multiple manufacturing facilities nationwide. This leadership role requires driving HR standardization, pre-IPO organizational compliance, corporate governance, talent scaling, and multi-site factory integration. Given the multi-location footprint, this role involves up to 60% PAN-India travel.
Key Role Details:
Position Title: Senior Manager HR
Location: Bengaluru (HQ) with extensive travel across PAN-India plant and project sites
Travel Requirement: Up to 60% PAN-India travel to various operational and manufacturing locations
Experience Range: 10 to 15+ years (Mandatory combination of Corporate HR and Multi-Site Factory/Plant HR experience)
Education Qualification: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources / MSW / Master's in Personnel Management (MPM) / Labor Laws
Industry Background: Engineering, Medical Devices/Equipment, Solar/Renewable Energy, Heavy Manufacturing, or Multi-Business Conglomerates

Key Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Governance, Pre-IPO Readiness, and Policy Standardization:
1.1. Establish, standardize, and enforce corporate HR policies,
standing orders, and operational standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all business verticals.
1.2. Build robust HR governance structures, audit frameworks, and statutory reporting standards required for upcoming SME IPO readiness.
1.3. Partner with executive leadership to design long-term organizational structures, succession planning, and corporate expansion strategies.
Multi-Site Plant HR, Statutory Compliance, and Industrial Relations:
2.1. Conduct regular site audits and oversee end-to-end statutory compliance across all nationwide plants and project locations including Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages, Contract Labor Management, and local labor laws.
2.2. Ensure 100% audit readiness and maintain clean compliance records across every regional operating unit.
2.3. Oversee contractor management, vendor compliance audits, and third-party workforce governance across multi-state facilities.
2.4. Manage employee grievances and industrial relations to ensure operational harmony across remote project and factory sites.
Cross-Functional Talent Acquisition, L&D;, and Retention:
3.1. Direct end-to-end recruitment for corporate leadership, specialized engineering talent, technical sales, plant operations staff, and R&D; teams.
3.2. Conduct Training Need Analysis (TNA) and execute capability-building programs for engineering,
manufacturing, and safety compliance.
3.3. Implement employee engagement and retention strategies to protect key technical, managerial, and operational talent.
Performance Management System (PMS) and HR Analytics:
4.1. Implement structured KRA and KPI performance frameworks aligned with company growth targets across all business units.
4.2. Track and report monthly HR metrics to executive management, including headcount planning, attrition rates, cost-per-hire, training ROI, and multi-site productivity ratios.
Candidate Profile:
1. Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple manufacturing plants, engineering units, or diversified business portfolios.
2. Willingness and flexibility for frequent PAN-India travel (up to 60%) to conduct site visits, audit facilities, and align regional teams.
3. Solid understanding of corporate governance, statutory labor compliance, and structured HR systems required for growth-phase companies targeting an IPO.
4. Robust leadership capability to bridge high-level corporate goals with ground-level plant and project realities.
5. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
