Job Profile Electrical Design Engineer Offshore Oil Gas Position Summary The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing reviewing and delivering detailed electrical engineering designs for offshore oil and gas projects including topside facilities subsea systems and floating production units The role involves ensuring compliance with international standards client specifications and project requirements while maintaining safety and reliability in harsh offshore environments Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop electrical design deliverables such as single-line diagrams load lists cable schedules interconnection diagrams and equipment layouts Perform power system studies load flow short circuit motor starting harmonic analysis using software such as ETAP Power Tools Prepare technical specifications datasheets and requisitions for electrical equipment transformers switchgear MCCs UPS generators cables lighting systems Coordinate with vendors for technical bid evaluations design reviews and FAT Factory Acceptance Testing Ensure designs comply with IEC IEEE NEC API ABS DNV and other offshore electrical standards Integrate electrical systems with mechanical instrumentation control and structural disciplines Support offshore construction pre-commissioning commissioning and start-up activities as required Provide technical support during HAZOP SIL and design review workshops Ensure compliance with safety environmental and quality standards specific to offshore operations Skills CompetenciesStrong knowledge of offshore oil gas electrical design practices Hands-on experience with power system analysis software ETAP SKM etc Familiarity with hazardous area classification Ex equipment selection and ATEX IECEx standards Strong coordination and interdisciplinary communication skills Ability to work in multicultural multi-disciplinary project teams Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Master s preferred 6-10 years of experience in electrical design with at least 5 years in offshore oil gas projects FPSO platforms subsea Knowledge of international codes and standards IEC IEEE NEC API NORSOK ABS DNV Employment TypeFull-time Contract depending on project requirements Job Type Full-time Pay From 50 000 00 per month Perks Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
