point of sales in EG The platform is developed on a microservices architecture and runs in the cloud maximising Amazon Web Services This role will be contributing to our key initiative to make the reservation platform easily extensible for product servicing as well as ensuring it is a highly scalable and resilient platform The Reservations team is looking for someone who will deliver automated along with your team Develop cloud-native solutions to continuously harden our platform and cloud infrastructures to create resilient fault tolerant highly available systems Drive platform engineering features and be an enthusiast for a DevOps environment across the organization in the pursuit to be operationally better every day Coordinate cross-team solutions welcoming varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues Work closely with Senior Developers to define and implement project technical requirements Articulate technical design decisions and software implementation in technical forums Participate in code evolution and coding standard methodologies via code reviews Candidate should have moderate experience mentoring Junior developers Who you are 5 years software development work experience using contemporary languages i e Java Kotlin Bachelor s or Master s degree in computer science or related technical fields or Equivalent related professional experience Backend software engineering experience Creating and supporting web services in a highly available transactional environment Strong technical proficiency in Java Spring REST JSON API Design and Development web services and object-oriented design Proficiency with algorithms and data structures design patterns multi-threading concurrency caching and distributed systems Experience with development in AWS or similar cloud platforms Preferred AWS Lambda ECS EC2 S3 RDS Kubernetes Have experience working with Datastores in AWS No preference but Aurora and SQL server are a plus Familiarity with volume transactional systems microservice design or data processing pipelines Docker Kafka Kinesis Spark or similar Experience with continuous delivery automated deployments and related engineering practices Agile practitioner able to deliver products iteratively with strong ability to learn and adopt new technologies Strong interpersonal skills Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Embrace
