Group is a globally diversified industrial manufacturing group with core operations in Industrial Carbon products Power and Lime chemicals With a strategic presence in India and Oman is known for its strong operational excellence global supply capabilities and customer-first approach logistics operations span international shipping container handling dry and break bulk cargo movement and inland logistics via road and rail Currently handles approximately 2 million MT via seaports 0 5 million MT via rail and about 4 million MT via road currently operates a fleet of over 50 heavy vehicles and is augmenting its fleet rapidly Role Summary Looking for a seasoned logistics leader to oversee and optimize end-to-end logistics operations across its India and Oman-based manufacturing facilities The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise in handling containers break bulk and dry bulk cargo and demonstrate experience in managing global freight operations vendor interfaces port logistics and rail and road logistics Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define and implement group-wide logistics strategy aligned with production objectives Lead all inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials finished goods and intermediates across India and Oman Optimize logistics cost structures while ensuring reliability and compliance Port Terminal Coordination Act as the group s primary interface with port terminals stevedores and customs authorities in India and Oman Coordinate berthing schedules cargo discharge loading plans and documentation with port operators and shipping lines Multi-Modal Transport Management Manage and optimize containerized dry bulk and break bulk cargo movements via sea rail and road Liaise with domestic and international transporters ensuring timely dispatch and delivery to from plant sites Rail Logistics Preferred Oversee and expand rail-based transportation solutions where feasible particularly for bulk inward and outward cargo Interact with Indian Railways and private rail operators to ensure cost-effective movement of goods Operations Oversight Supervise logistics activities at Vizag India and Sohar Oman plant locations through plant-based logistics teams Monitor logistics KPIs vendor SLAs and proactively resolve bottlenecks Vendor Contract Management Lead negotiations with transporters stevedores port operators freight forwarders etc Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and international trade practices Costing Budgeting Prepare and manage annual logistics budgets across geographies Implement cost models and drive continuous improvement initiatives Candidate Profile Education Graduate Postgraduate in Engineering Supply Chain or Logistics MBA preferred Experience 12-18 years in industrial logistics must have hands-on experience with o Dry bulk break bulk and containerized cargo o Port terminal operations and stevedores o Multimodal logistics rail preferred o Preferably from sectors such as cement steel power minerals coal or Petroleum coke Skills o Excellent leadership and stakeholder management o Solid vendor negotiation and contract management capabilities o Ability to manage cross-border teams and processes o Analytical and systems-oriented approach to logistics optimization Work Location Corporate Office - Hyderabad with frequent travel to Visakhapatnam and Oman plant sites Interest can ling me on Jothimanip23 outlook com Job Type Full-time Pay Up to 2 000 000 00 per year Experience total work 10 years Preferred Work Location In person
