Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amritapuri Campus is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the post of Assistant Professor On Contract For Details Contact harikrishnan kh amrita edu Job Title Assistant Professor On Contract Location Kochi Kerala Required Number 1 Job description The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in areas including graphic designing photography audio editing and production video editing and videography In addition to academic responsibilities the faculty member will oversee media coverage of all campus events ensuring high-quality documentation and promotional content Applicants should possess solid technical proficiency in industry-standard software a creative portfolio and a passion for guiding students in both theoretical and practical aspects of media production Prior teaching experience and event media handling will be considered an added advantage Responsibilities Conduct hands-on practical sessions in graphic designing photography audio video editing and videography for UG and PG students Teach and demonstrate the use of industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop Illustrator Premiere Pro Audition and related tools Provide technical support and supervision in media labs ensuring proper usage and maintenance of equipment and software Assist in the setup and management of studio environments for photography and video production Support and collaborate with students on live media assignments including event documentation and content creation Maintain and update lab resources including software hardware and instructional materials Support students during internships and media-related fieldwork offering mentorship and feedback Ensure safety and discipline in lab environments promoting a productive and creative learning atmosphere Qualification MA MFA MSc in Visual Media Job category Teaching Experience 3 Years Last date to apply August 10 2025
