Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering architecture and environmental consulting The diverse perspectives of our partners and interested parties drive us to think beyond what s previously been done on critical issues like climate change digital transformation and future-proofing our cities and infrastructure We innovate at the intersection of community creativity and client relationships to advance communities everywhere so that together we can redefine what s possible The Stantec community unites approximately 32 000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents Primary purpose of the job - Technical expertise in sewer hydraulic modelling InfoWorks - ICM 1D 2D modelling and in design of stormwater and wastewater networks Work as part of a team being involved in a variety of projects including model build and verification using existing or new models to understand system performance and using the model to help the design of system improvements and enhancements to urban drainage networks Design of stormwater and wastewater networks including various assets of the networks like Pump Stations Combined Sewer Overflows CSO Storage tanks Attenuation Tanks Ponds Flow Control Structures and Sustainable Drainage Solutions Undertake the development of modelled engineering solutions to mitigate the effects of development to solve sewer flooding and to address unsatisfactory overflows Possess experience of third-party management Health and Safety and Sustainability aspects of a design project Possess experience of multi-disciplinary engineering and work under minimal supervision Act independently on technical matters related to engineering designs and regulatory compliance Provide guidance and training to less experienced members within the team Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for modelling project design and construction Supervise site surveys and field investigations Use appropriate software to provide advice solutions and successful project outcomes for clients Plan programme co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures Person specification - Degree qualified in Civil Environmental Engineering A Chartered Member of a relevant engineering institution e g ICE or CIWEM would be preferred 12 - 20 years of experience in wastewater industry and previous experience in the modelling of urban drainage networks A full understanding of InfoWorksCS ICM and awareness working knowledge of other tools in the market Working knowledge of using GIS tools is preferable - MapInfo ArcGIS Competent skill level in business development Experience in the management of staff and staff development Able to integrate well into a team and provide technical leadership to other modelling staff Experienced level of decision making Solid communication skills - both verbal and written Excellent client service focus Good organisational skills and be able to multi-task Travel and other job demand Primary Location India Pune Organization Stantec IN Business Unit Employee Status Regular Travel No Schedule Full time Job Posting 08 10 2024 07 10 52 Req ID 1000582
