Senior Executive / Assistant Manager - Purchase

Experience: 6-12 years (Pharma industry only)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vendor identification, evaluation, and development for RM, PM, consumables, and engineering items.

2. Float inquiries, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate commercial terms.

3. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials as per production requirements.

4. Coordinate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control for material approval and vendor audits.

5. Maintain vendor database, contracts, and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

6. Monitor market trends, pricing, and alternative sourcing to ensure cost effectiveness.

7. Coordinate with Stores, Accounts, and Production teams for material planning and payments.

8.



Handle import procurement (if required) including documentation and follow up with CHA/forwarders.

9. Must have API procurement exposure

Desired Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

2. Knowledge of pharma procurement, RM/PM specifications, and vendor qualification.

3. ERP knowledge

4. Positive communication and documentation skills.

5. Result oriented with focus on cost optimization and timely supply.
