•To check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries.

•To advise the purchasing and the stores department in ensuring high quality and availability of personal protective equipment, Facilitate screening of workmen and conduct OHS induction.

•To carry out plant safety inspections to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by the workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.

•To render advice on matters related to reporting and investigating industrial accidents and diseases, maintaining the Incident Investigation reports & ensure compliance of recommendations.

•To ensure Inspection of Safety & Fire Equipment's on periodical basis & records to be maintained, Ensure & maintain the housekeeping audit on daily basis.

•Monitoring & ensuring compliance of Occupational Health & Safety related statutory requirements,



internal DCBL Safety standard & management audit requirement.

•To conduct Emergency & Fire Mock drills as per plan and ensure compliance of the recommendations.

•Compiling and maintaining Safety statistics and presenting SHE Performance Report to the management regularly.

•To organize in association with the concerned departments Campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining secure conditions of work and procedures.

•To design and conduct either independently or in collaboration with the training department, suitable training and educational programmer for the prevention of personal injuries.

•Act as the Secretary of Statutory Safety Committee and assist the Chairman in directing the functions of the Safety Committee, Monitoring & supporting the Safety Verticals and Safety Standards team.
