BIM Project Manager Electrical (Middle East BIM Services)

Job Objective

Lead Electrical and ELV BIM projects for Middle East clients, including effort estimation, BIM execution planning, resource allocation, model production, interdisciplinary coordination, RFI management, QA/QC, and timely delivery of BIM models, shop drawings, and as-built deliverables in accordance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ISO 19650 standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

- Review project inputs including electrical and ELV design drawings, specifications, load schedules, BIM standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare project plans, effort estimates, resource plans, submission schedules, and delivery roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain drawing registers, RFI trackers, clash trackers, and QA/QC checklists.
- Monitor project performance, productivity, quality metrics, technical risks, and schedule adherence.

BIM Delivery & Technical Leadership

- Lead BIM model development for:
- LV, MV, and HV power systems
- Lighting systems
- Earthing and lightning protection
- Cable containment systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Communication, security, BMS, and other ELV systems

- Manage LOD 300, 350, 400, and 500 BIM models.
- Oversee production of coordinated shop drawings, builder work requirements, sleeves, supports, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with client BIM standards, BEP requirements, and organizational BIM procedures.

Coordination & Collaboration

- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Firefighting disciplines to resolve design and construction clashes.
- Conduct model federation, clash detection, coordination reviews, issue assignment, and resolution using Navisworks, ACC Model Coordination, or equivalent platforms.




- Lead coordination meetings and provide technical guidance to project stakeholders.

Quality Assurance & Information Management

- Review Revit models, electrical layouts, containment layouts, single-line diagrams, schedules, quantities, and drawing packages prior to client submissions.
- Ensure adherence to model setup standards, naming conventions, data parameters, sheet standards, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
- Implement and maintain ISO 19650 information management processes and project QA/QC procedures.

Team Leadership

- Manage and mentor BIM Coordinators and Modelers.
- Provide technical direction on modeling practices, routing principles, coordination methodologies, and project-specific requirements.
- Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

- B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with robust BIM project delivery experience.
- BIM-related certifications in Revit MEP Electrical, Navisworks, ISO 19650, or BIM Management are preferred.

Experience

- 8 to 12 years of overall BIM project delivery experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience delivering Middle East projects.

- Experience working with consultants, contractors,



or engineering delivery partners is preferred.

Technical Skills

BIM & Design Tools

- Expert proficiency in:
- Autodesk Revit (Electrical)
- Navisworks
- Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360
- AutoCAD
- Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms

BIM Management & Standards

- Strong understanding of:
- ISO 19650 framework
- BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
- MIDP/TIDP development
- RFI workflows
- BIM coordination and issue management
- Model review and quality control processes

Electrical BIM Expertise

- Thorough knowledge of:
- Power distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- ELV systems
- Cable containment and routing
- Electrical equipment rooms
- Single-line diagrams and schematics
- Shop drawing production
- Spatial coordination and installation sequencing

- Ability to create and manage Revit families, parameters, schedules, worksets, filters, and templates.
