Purpose/Objective
Engineer - WTG (PM/BM) is responsible for supporting and executing both preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks on wind turbines under the supervision of senior maintenance engineers.
The role involves conducting inspections, assisting in troubleshooting, performing basic repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards to ensure the productive functioning of turbines.
Key Responsibilities of Role
Routine Inspections & Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on wind turbines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments to prevent mechanical or electrical failures.
Assist in inspections of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal turbine performance.
Report any issues or abnormalities observed during inspections.
Breakdown Maintenance and Repairs: Support breakdown maintenance tasks by diagnosing and repairing faults in turbines under the guidance.
Assist in the replacement of faulty components and ensure the timely completion of repairs in line with safety and operational standards.
Troubleshooting & Fault Analysis: Assist in identifying and troubleshooting faults in turbine components.
Support team in analyzing operational data to identify potential faults before they lead to significant issues.
Contractor Support: Assist in monitoring and overseeing the work of contractors involved in maintenance activities, ensuring they follow safety guidelines and quality standards.
Support team in ensuring that contractor work aligns with maintenance schedules and specifications.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks, including parts replaced, repairs conducted, and inspection findings.
Prepare daily or weekly reports on turbine performance, operational metrics,
and maintenance activities for review.
Inventory and Spare Parts Support: Assist in managing the inventory of spare parts required for preventive and breakdown maintenance, ensuring that necessary components are readily available.
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of turbine spare parts.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines during performing tasks.
Ensure compliance with internal safety protocols, using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety procedures.
Participate in safety drills, training, and audits to stay updated on best practices for maintenance operations.
Key Stakeholders - Internal: Regional Head / Station Head Central Cluster Head Maintenance Head HO & Site O&M; team Supporting department - Project, Engineering, Safety, BD, Projects, MAAS, HSE, ESG, Techno-commerical, HR, Admin, Finance, BEx, Land, Legal, Insurance, etc.

Tech/Diploma - Electrical or Mechanical or relevant to Energy Sector Work Experience: 1-5 years of experience in Energy Sector is must.
