Purpose/Objective

Associate - Maintenance (AC) is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of AC systems and related infrastructure through effective execution of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety and operational standards.
This role supports continuous operational excellence by implementing best practices in preventive and corrective maintenance, managing inventory and equipment readiness, and contributing to a zero-accident setting.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Operational Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting for AC systems and substation equipment, promptly addressing issues to minimize operational downtime.
Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate records in SAP and closing notifications on schedule.
Cost Management & Resource Optimization: Contribute to cost optimization efforts by adhering to budget guidelines, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring effective use of spare parts and materials in AC operations.
Participate in vendor and contractor coordination, overseeing work completion to meet technical standards within budgetary and time constraints.
Safety & Compliance Adherence: Actively support and promote a safety-conscious environment by conducting safety checks, addressing audit points, and complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Contribute to safety audits and collaborate with team members to ensure safe maintenance practices are followed consistently.
Technology Integration & Performance Monitoring:



Assist in the integration of technology tools for conditional monitoring of key AC equipment to ensure efficiency and predict maintenance needs.
Track performance metrics for Plant Availability (PA), Grid Availability (GA), and Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF), identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
Inventory & Audit Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, reducing overstock or shortages, and manage inventory aged over three years to keep it within acceptable limits.
Support regular audit processes by addressing observations and assisting in the resolution of any identified issues to maintain regulatory and quality standards.
Team Collaboration & Skill Development: Participate in training programs and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions, enhancing technical skills and maintenance expertise across the team.
Engage in employee safety programs and development initiatives, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
Maintenance Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed maintenance reports, tracking equipment performance and documenting corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
Maintain thorough documentation of all maintenance activities, including preventive tasks, and equipment assessments, to ensure compliance and operational accuracy.




Customer & Stakeholder Support: Liaise with load dispatch centers and internal teams to coordinate maintenance schedules, minimizing disruptions in line with grid load requirements.
Engage with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication regarding maintenance activities and timely completion of all assigned responsibilities.
Key Stakeholders - Internal: O&M; Head Regional Head / Station Head Central Cluster Head Maintenance Head HO & Site O&M; team Supporting department - Project, Engineering, Safety, BD, Projects, MAAS, HSE, ESG, Techno-commerical, HR, Admin, Finance, BEx, Land, Legal, Insurance, etc.

Educational Qualifications: B.
E.
/B.
Tech/Diploma - Electrical or Electronics or relevant to Energy Sector.
Work Experience: 6-8 years of experience in Energy Sector is must.
