Job Summary
As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.
There's never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operational automation scripts.
- Support enterprise scheduling and workload automation platforms.
- Automate routine operational and administrative tasks.
- Create monitoring and alerting solutions utilizing WWTS and other available tools
- Assist with event-driven automation initiatives.
- Participate in operational efficiency projects.
- Document automation standards and procedures.
- Support integration with enterprise management tools.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5-8 years of IBM i (iSeries) administration experience with 2-4 years in automation and job scheduling environments.
- Strong knowledge of IBM i administration, DB2/400, job scheduling, monitoring, and system operations.
- Experience with CL, RPG, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Python, YAML, and PHP development and scripting.
- Proficiency with GitHub, automation frameworks, API integrations, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Experience supporting production environments and operational automation initiatives.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESX, and public/private cloud environments, including on-premises to cloud migrations.
Preferred Technical and Skilled Experience
- Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, security controls, and compliance standards.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise environments with a focus on automation and operational excellence.
